Educational Background
In 1996 Dr. Nadia received her Ph.D. in educational
psychology from the University of Arizona, USA. In 1992
she received her M.S. in educational psychology from
Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana, USA. In
1988/1989 she received her BA in psychology from UAE
University.
Experience & Qualification:
Dr. Nadia has channeled her knowledge
in psychology into successful psychological,
educational, and vocational consulting services. Some of

Nationals and non-nationals to increase their successful

She is accredited to use Emotional
Competency Inventory (ECI) for the assessment of
emotional intelligence.
She is qualified to use the
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI-Personality
assessment).
She is a certified (Thought Field
Therapy) TFT practitioner.
She translated the Arabic version of
the Insight Discovery assessment.
She developed the Ideal Arab Mother &
Ideal Arab Family award, and is the head of the
evaluating committee DSF, since the year 1999 to date.
She was the founder & president of
Emirates Psychological Association (EPA), 2003- 2004 &
2006-2007.
She was invited along with a group of
scholars from the Gulf to attend a three-week workshop
at the University of Michigan during summer of 2005. The
workshop focused on the design and conduct of social
research, with special attention to public opinion
research.
She developed the Emirates Business
Women Award and was the head of the committee for, DQG
(2003 & 2004).
She has attended the US Arab Economic
Forum in Detroit, Michigan, in September 28-30, 2003 as
a member in a delegation consisting of more than 10
businesswomen representing Dubai.
She worked as an Assistant Dean for
research in the faculty of humanity and social sciences
at the UAE University. From 1997 to January 2005 she
worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of
Psychology, UAE University
In 1995 to 1996 she worked as a
research assistant for the department of social sciences
at the University of Arizona.
In 1989 she worked as a psychologist
for the Ministry of Education in UAE.
She was a member in the Dubai Business
Women Council, & Emirates Business Women Council.
She had weekly columns in Alkhaleej
newspaper (UAE, Arabic), Zaharat Alkhaleej magazine (UAE-Arabic),
and Al Hasna Magazine (Lebanon - Arabic) that provides
answers to readers’ questions regarding personal and
career issues.
A T.V presenter; previously 2002-2003
“Sikologia” show, that discussed psychological and
educational issues, 2004-05 “Hayatuha” show aired on
Dubai T.V. discussed women psychological well-being, and
"Banat Ha'wa" 2007 on LBC Sat, that discusses social
issue and life style.
As the president of the Emirate Psychological
Association, she was one of the first to conduct the
First Mental Health International Conference "Direct and Indirect Self-Destructive
Behavior and Mental Disorders: Trans-Cultural
Differences" organized by the Emirate Psychological
Association in Dubai 27th -28th June 2007.
