As we watch television in the holy month of Ramadan, we realize that the shows have declined in quality and importance. In the west, particularly in the U.S., studies have been done to see what shows are beneficial to individuals and society and a great deal of effort is being placed on imposing their programs. Here, however we see no such effort being placed on such improvement. Infact we have realized that only a few minutes is given to the reading of the Holy Quran while much more time is given to pointless quiz programs. Comedy programs that are supposed to portray the Emarati family do nothing of the sort. Infact they portray the men as ‘bulls’ and women as ‘idiots’ who want to be dominant but know nothing. Hence it does our society no good.
